Getting that perfect skin is easy now

Our skin is a mirror of our inner health. If the skin is healthy and glowing a person is considered to be healthy, attractive and even beautiful perhaps that is the reason that a lot of emphasis is laid on maintaining a good skin tone and texture. Ours is a rich and ancient culture backed by the science of Ayurveda. It provides a number of remedies that take care of our skin and that too without any harmful chemical additives. The first ingredient that comes to mind is turmeric. It is a very useful product that is used to clean and make the skin glowing. The interesting part is that turmeric is considered a common cooking ingredient yet it finds an important place in almost any homemade face mask. The unassuming yellow herb sitting on the kitchen shelves has an antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and works wonders to fight facial conditions like acne, dark spots, stretch marks etc.It is such an important ingredient in the beauty regime that no Indian wedding is complete without the Haldi (turmeric) ceremony in which a paste of turmeric is applied to the bride and the groom and it is supposed to enhance their beauty. If your skin is oily them one can take a spoonful of gram flour and to this add a quarter spoon of turmeric powder. Add water to make a paste and apply on the face and the neck area . Let the paste dry and then use cold water to wash off the paste. This regime is to be followed every day and guards the skin against acne and gives a shine and glow to the face. For those with dry skin a face pack made with half spoon of turmeric, a spoon of fresh cream or malai and a spoon of rose water all mixed and formed into a paste can be applied on the face and the neck region leave it on for about half an hour them wash it clean with lukewarm water. This regime makes the face glow and look radiant. For sensitive skin a simple paste of turmeric and water forms a great face pack that is suitable for those with sensitive skin.
If you are going for a party or want to make your face glow then add rosewater (a few drops) ,1 spoon of honey, 1 spoon of gram flour (besan) and the trusted turmeric powder (half a spoon). Mix all the ingredients into a paste and then apply smoothly on the face and neck region. Let the paste dry and after about half an hour wash it away. This will make your face glow.
A good daily dose of water makes sure the body remains hydrated and the adequate supply of water ensures that the toxins are flushed out.
Aloe Vera is another magic ingredient that is available as a low maintenance plant that is widely available in India . One can peal the succulent leaves and scoop out the fleshy gel like inner flesh. In emergency situations like cuts and burns applying this gel extracted from the plant can do wonders and enhance the healing. It can also be applied on the face hand and the rest of the body as it makes the skin smooth and supple.
There are a number of ingredients that can be used to take care of the skin. However due to lack of knowledge or lack of time we tend to opt for over the counter ready to use products. The drawback is that a number of these products have harmful chemicals and can damage the skin. However Vicco has come up with "VICCO Turmeric Cream"a turmeric cream with a foam base. Its ready to use and easy to apply and being herbal saves our skins from harmful chemicals. It helps one deal with oily skin, pimples and blackheads. Its easy to use and apply .In properties it is very close to the naturally occurring turmeric so the antimicrobial properties of this cream makes it even suitable to be applied on minor cuts and injuries. It helps cure skin rashes and allergies.  Its one cream which when we apply has our face care sorted.
